Situated in the lively coastal resort of Herne Bay, Hampton Pier Yacht Club offers every facility for the keen dinghy sailor. With a full programme of club racing, cruising and fun sailing, members of all ages and abilities take every advantage to sail in the open waters close by the old stone pier at Hampton. A varied social programme and a well stocked bar ensure the friendly club atmosphere remains when sailing has finished for the day. The Club is close to free car parking and the modern clubhouse on the beach boasts everything needed for the comfort of sailors and spectators alike. Ample dinghy parking and a gently shelving beach make launching easy whilst an electric winch and concrete ramp make recovering even the largest dinghies just as simple.

General Sailing - 13 and 27 June
Saturday 13 June sees the start of General Sailing. These sessions will be used for training and all the Club boats will be available. This is a great opportunity for all Club members to participate in 'social sailing'. If there are sufficient numbers on the day, we may organise a race for those who wish to so some racing training.

Summer is Coming!
Well, the Summer Series is coming, anyway. Starting on Sunday 14 June we have 6 races in this series, which is due to end on 5 July.

Evening Series
This continues on 17 June and 1 July.

Bar
The Bar is open every Saturday evening until October, from 7.30pm. Our next Bar Quiz is 4 July.

June 20 'Chilli & Bingo’ Night
The posters for this event have gone up in the Club, so sign up now. We will over cater a little so if you would like to just turn up and take a chance that is fine - but when it's gone, it's gone! If you want to just come down for a quiet drink then the bar is open at 7.30pm as usual and bingo will be held in the hall. Volunteers are needed to help with cooking and preparation for this event as well as a bingo caller.

July 25 Barbecue
We would like to invite all our members to come along to this event which we hope will have a beach party atmosphere. It is hoped that the structure of the afternoon will enable even those of you with younger families to attend, spend the afternoon on the beach and then eat, perfect!! General sailing is scheduled to start from 2pm and this would be an ideal opportunity to invite any friends/family who may like the opportunity to get out on the water and ‘have a go’. The barbecue will start after general sailing at about 5pm. Food can be pre-ordered before the event but we will make sure that copious amounts of burgers and sausages will be available on the day. Help will obviously be needed to make this event a success.
